THE MINDSET OF A FAITHFUL STEWARD

For you to steward your finances well, you must have the proper mindset, proper attitude, and proper perspective, and all must be informed by Scripture. Money does not respond to wishes; it responds to wisdom. Many believers pray for increase but ignore the thinking pattern that preserves increase. God is more interested in how we think about money than in how much money we have. When the mind is renewed by the Word, financial decisions begin to align with divine order. Without scriptural perspective, prosperity can become a burden instead of a blessing.
A wise man will first give to God, then to his family, save, and spend last. This order reflects honor, responsibility, and discipline. Giving to God first establishes lordship over our resources and reminds us that He is the true source. Caring for family expresses covenant responsibility, while saving secures the future and protects destiny from emergencies. Spending comes last because pleasure must never control purpose. Where this order is broken, financial struggles become unavoidable even when income is high.
Stewardship is therefore a matter of character before it is a matter of cash. The way we handle money reveals the condition of our hearts. God cannot commit greater resources to a life ruled by impulse and comparison. Scripture must shape our spending habits, our contentment level, and our generosity. When a believer thinks according to the Word, money becomes a servant and not a master. True prosperity is not how much comes to you, but how well you manage what passes through your hands.
