FRUITFULNESS BY DESIGN

Genesis 1:28 (NKJV)
“Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it…’”

John 15:5 (NKJV)
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

Welcome to the glorious month of June. This month you are ordained to experience all the benefits loaded into the month and to enjoy the fruits that the month is wired to produce for you. The tree of life produces a new fruit every other month, this June will not be an exception. Fruitfulness is not an accident it is God’s original design for humanity. Before man proved himself, achieved success, or built anything meaningful, God released a blessing over him: “Be fruitful.” This means fruitfulness is not merely a product of hard work; it is part of divine intention and covenant design.

Everything God created was designed to produce. Seeds produce harvests. Trees produce fruit. Rivers produce life. In the same way, every believer is called to live a life of visible and meaningful productivity spiritually, emotionally, relationally, and purposefully. However, fruitfulness does not happen automatically.

A seed may carry potential, but without proper connection, nourishment, and cultivation, potential remains dormant. Jesus explained this clearly when He described Himself as the vine and believers as the branches. The branch does not struggle to produce fruit; it produces naturally by remaining connected to the vine.

Many people desire results while neglecting the spiritual disciplines that sustain fruitfulness. True fruitfulness flows from intimacy with God, obedience to His Word, disciplined living, and faithful stewardship of what God has entrusted into our hands. Fruitfulness is also not limited to material increase. A person may possess wealth and still be barren in peace, character, wisdom, spiritual growth, or positive influence. God’s design is for believers to produce fruit that remains fruit in character, purpose, relationships, service, and impact. Sometimes, fruitfulness requires pruning. God removes distractions, unhealthy habits, wrong relationships, fear, pride, and spiritual laziness so greater productivity can emerge.
