HOLINESS THROUGH DEDICATION
Leviticus 20:7 (NKJV)
_“Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God.”_
2 Timothy 2:20-21 (NKJV)
_“But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay… Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master.”_
Holiness is the life of dedication and separation unto God. Something becomes holy when it is set apart exclusively for God’s purpose. An ordinary object may have no special value on its own, but the moment it is dedicated to God, it becomes sacred. For example, if a person decides to dedicate an iPad only for studying the Word, listening to sermons, or advancing the work of God, that device has been separated unto holy use. The holiness is not in the object itself but in its dedication to God’s service. This is the same principle God desires for our lives as believers.
God is calling His children to become vessels dedicated to His glory. Holiness is not merely avoiding sin; it is presenting you fully to God for His use. Your mind, body, gifts, time, and resources should all be surrendered to Him. When a life is dedicated to God, it begins to reflect His nature and carry His presence. Many believers’ desire spiritual power and intimacy with God, but true spiritual growth begins with consecration.
A heart that is fully yielded to God becomes useful in His hands and effective in His kingdom.
The world constantly fights for our attention and devotion, but holiness demands that we remain separated unto God. A dedicated believer chooses God above worldly distractions and desires. As we daily surrender ourselves to Him, the Holy Spirit strengthens us to live lives that honor Him. God is still seeking vessels that are clean, available, and fully devoted to His purpose. May we become people who are set apart for the master’s use in Jesus’ name, Amen
