It is quite desperaging to to observe that some folks do not seem to place any honor to their words. The bible in the book of Ecclesiastes says that it is the fool that makes a pledge he cannot fullfill. The present president of Nigeria had made the above promise before the election that brought him into office. In fact, he had hung his presidential ambition on this promise. Nigerian thinking that the man had some sort of secret that would solve this perennial embarassment and problem of the nations had suddenly become hopeful.
But alas, the opposite had so far been the case.
Now, just a few months to his first tenure, the electrcity menace that have plaqued Nigeria for years now have instead gotten worse. Just this year, 2026, the national grid on which Nigeria depends on for the supply of electricity have collapsed several times. There communities and even cities that do not do not have electrcity for months.
In facts to overtly tell Nigerians to stop expecting him to keep his promise, the man literally disonneced from the national electricity supply system and awashed fim residence, which is the presidential abord, called aso Rock with solar panels, at an extremely exurbitant cost.
So, Nigerians can, suffer alone. It has nothing to do with him.
Yet, he is campaiging desperately for the same election he told Nigerians not to vote for him, if he fails to deliver on that promise.
