Daily Prayers

[12/19/2017, 10:08 AM] When the work owner announced at the beginning of the month the names of those who will receive their severance pay that month, Big Bill’s name was there.

Bill was devastated. He went to the big boss and begged. He could not afford to lose his job. He has a young family. That did not work. He went to a rich man in their church who knows the work owner to plead for him. No dice. He even went to their local political rep to beg the man. That also did not work. That night, Bill who normally does not drink, went to a local cafe and got himself real plastered. Staggering home, he passed his little daughter Abigail’s room and heard whisperings in there. He quietly pushed the door open, to see the little girl kneeling and praying. “God please do not let daddy lose his job. Remember that l have been a good little girl. I promise to be better …”

Like a fist disappears when the hand is opened, the intoxication disappeared from Bill’s head. With shock, shame and embarrassment he realized that he has run around and spoken to every one about his plight, except the only One he was supposed to speak to, GOD. He humbly knelt down beside his daughter and prayed fervently and earnestly.

The following morning, coming out of the estate where they live, Bill saw the van of the bakery supplying bread to the estates in the neighborhood and all the people gathered and buying bread. He walked up and told the bread supplier not to bother coming there any more to supply bread. From that day henceforth, he will do it. Collecting his severance pay, he made a deposit for the bread for his neighborhood…

Long story short, three years later, he had his BBB ‘Big Bills Bakeries’ and elected as the local rep in the House of Rep.

Friends, take it to God. He has a better plan. Man can fail us, but God never will. Even, children can teach us this. May God bless us all even as we trust Him implicitly in Jesus name.
