The sun had smiled at her wish,
Since her father’s sweat had streamed to victory
And she ordered for wheat
As poverty was nailed to a tree.

Her words were coloured with pride
As she walked with squared shoulders
Nature frowned at her borrowed rights
And she saw vacuum in others.

Her father’s signature caged a state
And he built a world with dollars,
His daughter’s life at stake,
Because his enemies had picked up their swords at last.

Guns surrounded her as she walked,
From her toothed hole came insults
And each day couldn’t see her at work,
Her words taken with a grain of salt.

Frivolities knew her by name,
Nights saw her dancing steps
Her love was for her rich neighbour
But he turned a blind eye to her smiles.

She crawled to a change of life
After nature had humbled her with a fracture
And she buried pride and lies
With charity taking her nature.
