Judgement is when you get what you deserved,Mercy on the other hand is when you get what you don’t deserve. In Ephesians 2:4, God said He is rich in mercy. The power of the mercy(Lam 3:22-23) of God is so big that it can’t be explained. As a matter of fact,we are still alive today because of the mercy of God. There are so many ways through which one could die. One can die while eating,drinking,sleeping,walking etc. That we are alive today is just by the mercies of God. Let somebody shout Hallelujah!
That your driver knows how to drive is not a guarantee that you will get to your destination safe & sound. Romans 9:15-16, it is God that shows mercy. We are what we are today by the mercies of God.
There are several examples in the Bible where Jesus himself broke His own rule to attend to people who ask for mercy. Psalms 103:17 talked about the fact that the mercy of God is from everlasting to everlasting. In Proverbs 28:13, talked about the condition on how to obtain mercy. Proverbs 29:1 talked about what could make a man to be destroyed without remedy.
Gen 48:8-20 told us the story of two brothers from the same father. This is the story of Ephraim & Menaseh.This story was a transfer of blessing from the oldest to the(Deut 23:17)) youngest. Ephraim wouldn’t just listen to warnings & instructions from God. Hosea 4:17, God left Ephraim alone & in Hosea 5:9, Ephraim became desolate, mercy left him. In Rev 4, the name of Ephraim wasn’t mentioned in the genealogy of Israel. I pray for you that the Mercies of God will never depart from our lives. Amen.
