An American day of Histories

Jan 21, 2021

While the 6th of January 2021 will go down in American history as a day of infamy, 20th January of the same year will enter the annals of American story books as a day histories were made. On this day, a president who was historically impeached twice in American took a walk of shame out of the white house, leaving very muddy footprints in his wake. This self same day, a man who was admitted into the American Senate about thirty years ago as the youngest senator ever to be a member of that august house was sworn in as the 46th American president, and the oldest man to have taken the position. His name is Joe R Biden Jr.

Again on this memorable day, a woman Kamala Harris, was sworn in as the first woman to be the vice president of the United States of America. This same woman is on record as the first woman of color to have ascended to such lofty position in American history. With this, the term Madam Vice President has been introduced and becomes a permanent part of America’s political analogy.

What the future forebodes for this duo no one knows. However, one thing that is specific about this Wednesday inauguration is that both these two characters have been long players in the American political scenario. They served in the Senate together, one representing Delaware and the other California, and got to be friends and almost like family.
