Muzakah is the little boy of Zimba the lion. He is a curious, inquisitive and adventurous little one. He asks too many questions and wants to know the answer to so many riddles that plague his infant mind.
Muzakah takes a look at the mountains and demands to know from his mother Mizat what is behind those high and towering mountains. He looks up and watches for Iong periods of time the birds soaring in the sky, then he bothers his mother with, where do the birds go in the night, what are they seeking for up there in the sky, why can’t he Muzakah fly like a bird. At the drinking hole, where the family goes to drink water and the parents to hunt for food, Muzakah wants to know what is at the depth of the water.
Muzakah stares into the water and sees another little lion staring up at him. He glares at it, and it glares back. Muzakah nimbly jumped out of the way of the charging bull, lost his balance and fell. He rolled down a steep slope and ended up in a muddle in the drinking water hole swamp. Mud in the eye, mud in the mouth, mud in the ear, spitting and coughing, little Muzakah was dragging himself out of the swamp when, snap, snap. Agu lyi whose siesta in the swamp he had disturbed by his noisy arrival came after him. Ill tempered and grouchy, its wide mouth and mighty teeth came dangerously after the little cub, snap snap. Hastily little Muzakah clambered unto the bank.
He sat there for quite a while, panting, whizzing and spitting mud. He felt quite small, low in spirit and frightened. Eventually he painfully dragged himself up and fearfully started crawling home. Jumping out of hi
