WORK: THE NATURE OF GOD
John 4:34 (KJV
_“My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”_
Luke 2:49 (KJV)_“Wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?”_
Genesis 2:15 (KJV)_“And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.”_
Jesus revealed God as a worker. He lived with a clear sense of assignment, doing what He saw the Father do and finishing what He was sent to accomplish.
Work is not separate from spirituality; it reflects God’s nature.
To be active in purpose is to align with divine character. Work therefore is not merely activity; it is participation in God’s design.A life without work decays.
Idleness weakens purpose and drains vitality. Losing a job does not remove responsibility to remain productive.
Productivity is not limited to employment; it is an attitude of engagement with purpose. Remaining inactive leads to stagnation, while engagement preserves growth and dignity.
Many misunderstand work, believing it is punishment or suffering.
Scripture shows otherwise. Before the fall, after blessing man, God gave him work in the garden. Work existed before struggle; it was part of purpose, not a result of sin. Work is not slavery but stewardship. It is the expression of life and alignment with God’s intention.
