Nigeria : Terrorist’s Propaganda

Have you heard the latest propaganda from the North?

The Nigerian government, as always, proves it never disappoints when it comes to propaganda games.

At a time when the world is increasingly deliberating on Christian genocide, certain parties from the northern part of the country interests have suddenly orchestrated what they now label as “attacks and threats against Igbo Muslims.” This narrative is nothing but a calculated diversion—an attempt to shift global attention away from the systematic persecution of Christians.

There are Muslims among the Igala people of the Middle Belt region, , yet the North has never mounted this kind of propaganda around them. The Yoruba of the Western region, are religiously divided between Christians and Muslims, yet no such manufactured outrage exists. But somehow, a certain tribe of the north’s interests constantly feel the need to drag ndị Igbo into their nonsensical propaganda.

Let it be clearly stated: Islam is not a problem in Igbo land.

Ndị Igbo are not Muslims by culture or history. Yes, there may be one or two individuals who identify as Muslims, and they pose absolutely no problem. We do not hunt our brothers because of what they choose to believe. That has never been our way.

What these extremists must understand is that the world is no longer blind. The United States and other global powers do not rely on propaganda when gathering intelligence. They collect data through facts, surveillance, and long-term study. They understand which ethnic groups are held hostage in Nigeria and who the real aggressors are.

It is this extremism that has relentlessly targeted Christians in the North—burning villages, displacing communities, and attempting territorial takeovers. Not in Igbo land.

Here, people are free to worship whatever they choose or not worship at all. Belief and unbelief are fundamental human rights. We are not angry about anyone’s religion.

However, we will not be emotionally blackmailed by cheap propaganda.

We will not allow violent Islam in Igbo land.

We will not allow Sharia Law.

Religion, whatever it is, must remain private—and it must stay that way.

It is also no secret that huge sums of money have recently been moved into parts of Igbo land—especially Enugu and Ebonyi—under the guise of religious conversion. We will resist such criminal inducement. We will not allow our people to be bought into conversion through economic manipulation.

You claim to care about Igbo Muslims, yet during the 1966 pogrom, you slaughtered Igbo people without regard for the religion they professed. You called them Nyamuri and vowed they would never rule Nigeria. Now you want them to become Muslims?

Why then have your so-called Igbo Muslims never been allowed to rule Nigeria? Or are they suddenly unworthy of leadership?

The North must understand this clearly: It is over.

The affairs of Igbo land are our concern, not yours. We will handle our issues ourselves. It is baffling that people battling Boko Haram, ISWAP, Ansaru, Lakurawa, Fulani herdsmen terrorists, and bandits are suddenly obsessed with Igbo land.

We must continue to challenge every propaganda narrative coming from the North against ndị Igbo. And we must remain firm in this truth:

Violent Islam has no place in Igbo land. No apologies.
