I am Chris Dahi. My published works: Words of Our Elders, Wooden Gongs and Drumbeats and Bonded, are strong cultural expressions that reflect my upbringing as a prince who was raised in the palace. They are works with unique and deep African traditional expressions; folk stories, idioms and proverbs that tell a lot about how the African responds in words and actions to certain situations and circumstances be it in work, play, love or war.
The Little Pieces of Trauma on the other hand is a book of tales of children of wars in Africa.
I am a war child.
This work has been described as a reflection, expression and impression. One can interpret it as a fiction or an anthology of true life stories depending on the mindset of the reader.
I always had a burden to tell our stories as Africans and share our unique style of communication to contribute to the repository of authentic knowledge of Africa and Africanness out there.
I invite you to join me on this journey that has spanned near 60 years, from me sitting in on council meetings as a child when my father was king, till our contemporary times.
