About six years ago, in the heart of the second tenure of the last governor of Abia state before Alex Otti, a reknown man of God from Abia state (name withheld – only that he is of Ngwa stock) had come visiting us in Belgium. I had taken the opportunity to ask him “Pastor how come you all are there and Abia state is so deeply into the quagmire state it is today. Have you all stopped praying?”

The answer the man gave gave me left me in jitters. Some past governor had sown Abia state into deep darkness. One of the numerous ways he went about it is by systemematically destroying all existing powerful clans and wittling down the powers of all the Ezes that may ask him questions. And creating quack clans and making his stooges and praise singers Ezes therein. He took most of these little chieftains to Okija to go and swear oaths of allegiance to him in the notorous Okija shrine. There, they will declare that whatever this governor does, even if it contrary to the ways of the land, their belief, harmful to their clan and even their family, they will not protest. This, also was the fate of many politicians who worked under this diabolic governor.

Then Alex Otti came, and the darkness fast receeded and bright light is shining on Gods on state. Joy, happiness, hope started reigning among the people of the land. Completting and comfirming the bibical saying that when a good man is on the throne, the people rejoice.

That someone in his right state of mind will challenge Alex Otti in Abia state after digging us with Almighty God using him, out of the pit we have wallowed in for twenty four years, is simply preposterous.
We live in Mainland Europe. We want to know how those of us here can join in putting down these rascals who think they can interfere with this light that is shinning now in our dear Abia state after 24 years of darkness; being ridiculed and made the butt of every bad joke about poverty and underdevelopment on the global circuit.
Please, someone who has clout and in authority can reach out to us or me. We can react from Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, Luxembourg, Italy, The Scandinavians, The Balkans, East Europe, etc.
This nonsense of Orji and Benjamin Kanu and their cohorts has gone long enough.
Please, we want to get involved in the activities of our NEW ABIA. God bless Alex Otti and his team. We are grateful for giving us a reason to lift up our heads amongst Nigerians in the Diaspora and even dare to boast that Abia is now the best performing state in Nigeria. It is simply a miracle. From the back, now in front.

Now, those that laughed at us are trooping to Abia, the safest state in the nation. Abia, the state with highest investment potentials in Nigeria. Abia, with infrastructures springing up everywhere. Our Abia, where government workers testify that they really receive their salaries and pensioneers confirm that they do get their dues and many of them talked about paid arrears.

How can any one of sound mind want to scuttle such progress?
