In the wake of the raised eyebrows both locally and in the international sphere concerning Tinubu, the Nigerian president’s avoiding the ongoing United Nations meet in the US, for the second consecutive time, the United States Mission in Nigeria has reaffirmed its stance on global anti-corruption efforts, stating that individuals involved in corrupt practices, regardless of their status or position, can be denied entry into the United States. Our people say that the oil cries in the night, and in the morning the sick childs, is there a corelation.

That the Vice president again has to attend this all important meeting of most powerful of presidents both great and small from all over the world leaves most interest groups in the affairs of Nigeria with bitter sweet taste in their mouths.

The Mission made this declaration via its official X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday.

“Fighting corruption knows no borders or limits on accountability. Even when high-profile individuals engage in corruption, they can be barred from receiving US visas,” the post read.Related News
