Anyone who bothers to participate in the happenings in Nigeria will testify to the fact that there is palpable tension in that land now. Such a person can also testify to the fact that Nigerians have never had it this bad. The hunger in the land is upresidented. The security situation continues getting worse. The value of the currency as at the time of this release is above 1700 Naira to One Euro. The most furlon aspect of this is that there is no hope in sight. The government dont seem to have a game plan to bring the tottering titan to a stable state.

This has now culminated to a state of affairs in which the masses are set to troop out in the streets and express their disappointment in this government that has given them nothing but misery and sorrow since its inseption. It has been termed END TO BAD GOVERNMENT! The truth of the matter here being that the government don’t seem to know exactly who are the proponents of this looming protest and the forces behind it. Instead just like chicken with its head cut off they are blundering from one suspect to another. One has heard the chief propagandist of the government come out and in quite unguarded utterances blame the leader of one of the opposing political parties. to the affected Nigerians, instead of such careless utterances assurances creating any sense of confidence it has succeded in casting asoersion on the government and gone a long way to increase their urge to march out to the streets and grossing condem this clueless government and openly announce their grievances and rejecting of the government and all its shambolic shinanigans.

How this much threatened protest will pan out, no one knows. The security chiefs of the land who have failed woefully in curbing insecurity which continues escalating in the country are making veiled threats to those who are are folding their shirts and trousers to hit the streets of the big cities of Nigeria. Some of the central players in the politics of the land, including the flag bearer of one of the big political parties of the land have come out and expressed their support to this protest. The security personnel have admitted that the people have the right to protest. It is their constitutional right. Whether they will try to frustrate this effort of the people to tell government to its face that they have grossly failed the people or whether they will tacitly support it as every one including these security officials are feeling the pains of this bad government, one has to see.

Are we about to see a repetition of the Summer revolution of the North Africas in years past, or the the Kenya protest that has brought a president to his kness or what is happening in the French West Africa nations????? Questions, questions begging for answers ….
