SHOULD A TRUE BELIEVER BE INVOLVED IN BUSINESS?

The Christians seem to believe that the business arena is rife with crime, bribery, graft and every inconceivable sort of manipulations. Therefore, the Christian should not venture into it. This is a very sad misconception that is calculated to keep the children of the Light in penury and poverty. With this sort of mind set, the Christian can never succeed in taking over the earth, which the Lord our Father has given to us right from the beginning of things. This is the reason why Christians are contented with the employment offered by those who do not know our God. That is why Christians are ready and always in the state of compromising the Faith. That is why our relationship with our Creator is becoming weaker and weaker and miracles are becoming fewer and fewer. Ecclesiastes 10: 5-7. There is an evil which I have seen under the sun … I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth.
This is an abnormality, an aberration, a misnomer in the natural sequence of things.
The earth is our Father’s and the fullness thereof. The gold on earth is He’s, so is the silver and the cattle on a thousand hills. Actually, the earth is He’s and the fullness thereof. He gave all this to us to have ownership and exercise dominion over. Genesis 1;28-31. This is ours as born again Christians because it is said But as many as have received Him, to them gave He the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.
If therefore our father is the owner of everything and Jesus says, If we ask anything in His name, He will give it to us, that all creation awaits our manifestation yet there are so many poor amongst us, yet we are not in total control of everything. Then something is wrong in our relationship with our father. God our father is perfect and faultless, therefore the obvious fault is ours. There is obviously something we are doing wrong that has debarred us from possessing that which is our inheritance.
We need money for our daily activities and the running of the ministries. The seer pointed out to us in Ecclesiastes 10;19 that money answereth all things. He further taught us in the same book that money, like wisdom is a defense. However, as the Apostle wrote to his ward Timothy in I Timothy 6;10, — that the love of money is the root of all evil, for some craving for it have wandered from the Faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. It is when men lose focus on the Creator and start paying unhealthy attention to the created that we have all sorts of negativities in our daily ventures and service of the Most High.
The seer further taught us in the same Ecclesiastes 10;7 that it is a misnomer, an abomination he has seen on earth, that we the children of the Most High One are walking on foot while the children of the bond woman are riding on horses. If God therefore is our father whom all the earth and the fullness thereof belong to, the gold and the silver are He’s and also the cattle on a thousand hills, and He has commanded us to inherit and take possession, yet we walk around in penury and whining about the governments then something is overtly wrong with the picture. The point meaning that it stands to reason that there must be something wrong in our relationship with our All Mighty Father. God is perfect. Therefore, the Christian who claims to be His child should look at himself or herself.
When one looks at the reports of the Forbes magazine which publishes the world’s billionaires, one can see the number of Christians that are contemporary billionaires. In Nigeria and indeed in Africa, it is Folorunsho Alakija and Strive Masiyiwa, business man founder of Econet wireless. Meanwhile Africa is overflowing with billionaires, especially from the political sector. Sadly, if there be billionaire or millionaire Christians, a reasonable number of them are pastors. An ex head of state recently had a party and the area was awash with jet planes. I can give a list of the owners of those jet planes, and we can figure out how many are born again Christians.
