Nigeria and indeed the entire rational world is yet to wrap its head around this particular act. In an election that was already sliding on slippery ground long before its take off, for the president to display this brash act of indiscipline has left a lot of tongues wagging and a lot of others breathless or speechless.
What was all that in aid of? This is a secret voting system, the bill giving it power having been signed by none other than himself makes his action open to question.
Again and more seriously, this gives credence to the ongoing mutings in high places that there is more to the relationship between these two , meaning Tinunbu and Buhari. It is rumored that the whole group with the symbol of the broom have more cultish undertone than anything political.
When one considers the kinds and levels of insult Tinubu has metted out to Buhari right from the day he manipulated and stronghandedly took over the pole of the party flag bearer, obviously against the will of Buhari and telling him to the hearing of many that it is payback time. The continued insults from him to this president who folks sang his praises that the fear of Buhari is the beginning of wisdom in Nigeria, during the election and the associated change of currency, yet whenever, Tinubu throws a glance towards a Buhari that was seeming to lag behind in the campaign trail, the president abandons all he is doing and jumps to follow him around like a lap dog. In some cases, Tinubu does not even bother to show up in the campaign ground, leaving Buhari doing the dirty job of selling a candidate he seem not to like, all on his own lonesome makes room for more questions than answers in this particular brazen act of insulting the law of the land.
One therefore will not be far from the truth if one assums that there is a cult covenant existing in the entire drama and that display was either in response to a cult demand that the man must do that as a proof of loyalty to the cult or he purposely and willing did that to show the cult which they all belong to that he is keeping his own part of the agreement or rather oath.
The asserssions here are depicted and supported by the expression on the face of the presidents wife in this foto. This pathetic or even pathological subservience in loyalty to someone you obviously despise is openly mirrowed in the womans face. The open mouthed expression of shock, disappointment and pain can easily be seen.
The truth of this matter will one day be told, for nothing can be hidden for ever.
In rare display of loyalty, President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday in Daura, Katsina State, displayed his ballot paper, with thumb print for All Progressives Congress’ (APC) Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu, saying after campaigning for the political leader in many parts of the country, he has reaffirmed on his preferred successor.

President Buhari, who casted his vote alongside his wife, Aisha, and other family members, at Ward A, Sarkin Yara Polling Unit, 003, said it was a pity that only one female emerged as gubernatorial candidate of the APC, Aisha Binani, urging support for the candidate.
The President also assured that he had always supported the candidature of Asiwaju Tinubu, and the show of his ballot paper to the media and the public further shows his commitment to the party and the national leader.
“I am very impressed because I have seen how the people turned up. I am very impressed and very happy. Well, the candidate I voted for I have already mentioned him in many states in Nasarawa, Katsina and Sokoto.
“All over the places I mentioned my favourite candidate, Asiwaju Tinubu, and I believe my constituency will elect him 100 percent,’’ he said.
President Buhari advised Nigerians to ensure that their rights to vote were always respected.
“Nigerians should make sure that they are respected; that means that the candidate they want to vote for they are allowed to vote for him.
“It is a pity there is only one female candidate from Adamawa State so the electorate should kindly follow our party,’’ he added.
Asked how he felt that it was the first time since 2003 that he was not on the ballot paper, the President said, “it is very exciting. I look at those who are competing and some of them are so agitated and they didn’t know that I tried three times and ended up in the Supreme Court three times.
“The fourth time I said ‘God dey’ and God sent technology, Permanent Voters Card, so no fraudulent person can claim anything,’’ he stated.
