Lord God Almighty You have done what only You can do and have blessed us with the blessing of life. Thank You for this precious gift of today.
Lord let Your mercy locate us both as individuals and a nation. We have sinned with impunity in so many ways, disregarding Your laws and Your precepts. Just God please temper justice with mercy. In this dispensation of grace, please show us mercy. We have watched the primaries of the two major political parties and are ashamed that this is a democracy. In a nation where the simple demands of lecturers are unmet, blatant sharing of taxpayers money for a seat of power goes on and children remain at home, their university education paused! Lord God, what a mess. Our nation has become a litany of lamentations and we are at the end of our tether. But You are the God whose nature is always to have mercy. You are He who promised to save us if we repent and seek your face and pray. You are He who comforts the broken hearted, binding up their wounds. You bring healing to the land and set the captives free. So with thanksgiving, joy, hope and faith, we come before You today. Thank You for mercy that we can obtain under the canopy of the blood of Jesus Christ. Please let Your deliverance be great and evidential in our lives. Raise us as intercessors for our land and hear us as we pray in the precious name of Jesus Christ, amen.
