Abraham – Blind Faithfulness
I had asked myself why God showed so much favor to Abraham to the extent of calling him His friend. What was the mystery? I then took time to study the life of Abraham. What I found amazed me. I found out that Abraham blindly followed God and believed the unbelievable. God told him that he was going to be the father of many nations, even when it was biologically impossible because of the age of his wife, yet Abraham believed God. This act caused God to declare him righteous (Genesis 15:6). Secondly, I found out that Abraham never wasted time to implement God’s instructions. The Bible tells us that whenever Abraham was given an instruction, he carried it out the next morning without delay. He was told to sacrifice his only son, and the next morning he implemented (Genesis 22:3). He was told to expel his son Ishmael, he did it in the morning (Genesis 21:14). My conclusion is that Abraham obeyed God at all cost and that was what excited God. Why not begin to excite God from tonight? The instruction God has given you, as you wake up tomorrow, go and begin to implement and you will begin to experience the grace of God. Have a good night sleep.
