An entire Belgian police zone placed in quarantine

As things progress, the corona virus that is plaguing the whole world is proving to be a respecter of no persons. That you are a powerful president like Donald Trump or a home boy prime minister like Boris Johnson don’t mean any doodle doo to the ravaging virus. You make an encounter with it, you got big problem.

Just as the power brokers of the world are resorting to every kind of panicky measures to find a solution to this global threat that emanated from a city in China, and every kind of conspiracy theory reign supreme, the malady has presented its ugly face to one the world’s most organised police forces, The Belgium police.

Now, news reaching the Scope News is that the One hundred and three staff members of the police zone of eastern Walloon Brabant, a region of Belgium have been placed in quarantine, after several people were contaminated with corona virus, its spokesman said Saturday evening.

Four positive cases had been detected last week, justifying a request for testing of all staff, starting Friday.

The first results establish that four additional agents are infected, including some by the British variant of the disease.

Pending further results, the authorities have decided to impose quarantine on the 103 workers in the area.

In addition, all police stations, including the central police station of Jodoigne, will be closed from this Saturday at 9:00 PM until Tuesday, February 2 at 2:00 PM. Basic police services will be provided through collaboration with neighboring areas.

Belgium, the capital of the European union is surrounded by rich and powerful neighbors like Germany, France, Netherlands and Luxembourg. This is a land though once in a while there are containable pockets of violent expressions, the security forces have been able to prove their proficiency and professionalism and such radical expressions by miscreants or even supposed terrorist have been boxed up and quelled.

One imagines if a situation like that prevailing in the Braband region of Belgium in which an entire zone of a police force is quarantined had occurred in more turbulent lands.
